No. However, the City of Montrose does require a Sales and Use Tax License for businesses that conduct retail sales within the city limits or who deliver retail products into the city for retail sale. By city's Municipal Code, use tax must be paid on goods consumed or stored within the city limits if sales tax was not paid when the goods were purchased.
Transient vendors and lodging properties, including short-term rental establishments, are also required to obtain sales tax licenses.
