West Main Bridge Work To Begin May 28

Montrose, CO — Contractors working for the City of Montrose will start work on Tuesday, May 28, to re-route a four-foot diameter storm drain line on Main Street under the West Main Bridge.

The storm sewer is being re-aligned to accommodate the new Connect Initiative recreation trail underpass at the West Main Bridge. During this work, through lanes on Main Street will be shifted and the roadway will be reduced to a single lane in each direction with the potential for traffic delays and brief interruptions in traffic flow. The work is expected to last up to three weeks.

The city asks motorists and pedestrians to exercise caution throughout the work area and to respect all coned- off areas. Navigate to www.MoveMo.Co for more information and regular project updates.

Any questions regarding the project may be directed to Civil Engineer Joshua Sickles at 970.240.1486.
