City to Host Stormwater Permit Seminar January 23
Montrose, CO — The City of Montrose is partnering with the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to host a free, daylong stormwater seminar for local contractors and engineers.
The Construction Stormwater General Permit seminar, part of the Colorado Discharge Permitting System, is scheduled for Wednesday, January 23 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Montrose City Council Chambers located at 107 South Cascade Avenue.
The seminar is open to contractors, engineers, consultants, current and future permittees and anyone interested in learning about permit requirements. The seminar will be presented in two sessions.
The morning session will cover general permit requirements. This session is geared toward contractors and permittees who may be unfamiliar with the permit. The morning session will also focus on the history of the Colorado discharge permitting system, preparing a stormwater management plan, compliance strategies and best practices in self-inspections.
The afternoon session will focus on the general permit renewal. This session is geared toward engineers, designers, and consultants and will also cover permit renewals, making changes to permits, and guidance documents. All are welcome to attend either or both sessions.
Lunch will be provided by the City of Montrose Public Works department.
Anyone interested is asked to please RSVP via email by January 18 to Mary Lenehan at Mary.lenehan@state.co.us.
