U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree Departs Montrose Wednesday

Montrose, CO — The U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree viewing at the Montrose Visitor Center today has been cancelled with the health and safety of our community in mind. As an alternative to the viewing, the U.S. Capitol Christmas Tree will pass through Montrose for an opportunity to see the motorcade on Wednesday, November 11 between 12:15 p.m. - 1 p.m. heading north on Townsend to Grand Junction.

When you spot the tree, we encourage you share your photos to social media and tag @City_of_Montrose (Instagram) and @CityofMontroseCO (Facebook) so we can celebrate together as a community! The Montrose Visitor Center will have swag with commemorative goodies available for pick up starting Thursday, November 12 between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. while supplies last. As this tree has been selected from our National Forest, we want to hear what you love most about our public lands and why they’re special to you. Join us on social media channels as we safely honor this exciting moment for our community.

Please refer to tinyurl.com/USCapitolTree for the most accurate and up-to-date information on viewing opportunities.
