Montrose, CO –  Montrose police officers were dispatched to a call of “shots fired” in the 000 block of Columbia Way this afternoon. Officers responded to the area and immediately set up perimeters around two separate houses — one on Brown Road and another on Columbia Way. The area was closed to traffic for nearly two hours while the incident was de-escalated. 

Ricardo Olmos Jr. and Anthony Evans are in custody at the Montrose County jail on charges of trespassing and obstructing a police officer. Olmos also has an extraditable warrant out of Delta County for failure to appear on unrelated charges. 

The incident ended without injury and residents of the area have been allowed to return home. An investigation continues at the residence on Columbia Way. Further details will be released as they come available.
