Montrose, CO — The City of Montrose will be hosting a panel discussion with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and local wetland biologists Thursday, April 4, from 11 am to 1 pm. The panel will be discussing the implications that wetlands and what permitting requirements can have on local agriculture, construction, and development projects.
Additional discussion topics include a history of the clean water act, wetland/jurisdictional waters of the U.S. definitions (including proposed changes to the Waters of the U.S. Rule), permitting processes, and typical agricultural exemptions to the rules.
The panel discussion will be held in the Centennial Room on the city campus, located just off Centennial Plaza at City Hall, 433 South First Street in Montrose. The discussion will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Thursday, April 4. Lunch will be served.
