Montrose, CO — A community meeting focusing on improvements to the Tortilla Flats neighborhood is scheduled for January 31 at the Mexican American Development Center (MADA), located at 17 North Sixth Street.
The meeting is a collaborative effort involving the City of Montrose, the Montrose Recreation District, the Hispanic Affairs Project, and Housing Resources of Western Colorado.
The focus of the meeting is to update residents on the construction of the Connect Trail along the Uncompahgre River and to discuss and get feedback on proposed improvements to La Raza Park. A proposed neighborhood improvement project the City of Montrose is working on with Habitat for Humanity and the National Civilian Conservation Corps will also be discussed. Work on this project is scheduled for later this year.
Attendees will also receive information about Montrose Recreation District programming, services, and scholarship programs. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and last through 8 p.m.
