Public Safety Complex PhotoProject Overview

The new Public Safety Complex (PSC) encompasses the former PD facility's footprint and the adjacent parcels. The west half of the building has two levels and one level on the eastern half for a total of 37,168 square feet. The new construction wraps the pre-existing PD structure.

  • Level 1 (new building) = 28,197 square feet
  • Level 2 (new building) = 8,971 square feet

The west half of the building is a steel structure with second-level metal decking and concrete slab. The east side consists of structural concrete masonry units with bar-joist roof framing. The exterior siding for the complex is all masonry – mostly brick veneer with stone detailing.

Grand Opening Celebration and Open House

The Grand Opening of the Montrose Public Safety Complex, held on Tuesday, September 27, marked the culmination of several years of research, planning, and construction resulting in the completion of a new state-of-the-art facility designed to provide the Montrose Police Department with the tools it needs to continue to serve and protect our community. For those who are unable to attend the Grand Opening event, additional open house opportunities were provided.
