Opened in 1959, Black Canyon Golf Course is the oldest course in Montrose. The par 34 front 9 is a “park style’’ tree-lined course designed by Joe Francese, The back 9 is a “links-style”, par 36 course featuring deeper bunkers and longer fairways designed by Byron Coker. Black Canyon Golf Course measures 6323 yards from the longest tees and has a slope rating of 121 and a 68.3 USGA rating.
The Black Canyon Golf Course was voted "Best Golf Course in the Valley" for 2013 & 2018 by readers of the Montrose Daily Press.

Annual golf passes can be purchased online, at City Hall or at the Black Canyon Golf Course Pro-Shop. You will have to fill out the Annual Pass Registration Form which can be found at the Black Canyon Golf Course Pro-Shop.
