Project Overview
Prior to replacement, Otter Road crossed over the Loutsenhizer Canal utilizing a narrow I-beam bridge dating back to the 50s that was experiencing undermining of the roadway due to failure of the bridge's timber headwall structures. This bridge was replaced with an aluminum box culvert structure that widened the roadway and increased the hydraulic capacity of the Loutsenhizer Canal.
