Note: The city does not oversee voter registration and does not issue driver’s or motor vehicle licenses, birth or death certificates, or marriage licenses. Please contact Montrose County to inquire about those items. The city no longer has a pet licensing program.

Parks and Use of Public Property
Several park shelters and facilities can be reserved for private events. Large events on public property and certain other uses of public property require special permits. Reservations and permits for public property are coordinated by the City Clerk's Office.

Sales Tax
Businesses that sell merchandise to customers within the city limits are required to obtain a city sales tax licenses.

Signs
The Community Development Department administers and enforces the City's sign code. Permits are required for temporary signs and banners and approval for permanent signs is provided through an application and review process.
