Street Maintenance

The Streets Division performs routine street maintenance work that includes crack sealing, pothole repair and patching, and asphalt overlays. Download the Street Maintenance Plan for an overview of activities that are planned for the current year.

Large street maintenance projects such as pavement overlays or street reconstruction are generally classified as capital projects and are managed by the Engineering Department. Visit the MoveMo.CO Street Maintenance Program page for detailed information about the city's plans for street maintenance in 2022.

Street Cleaning

City streets, paved alleys, parking lots, and state highways within the city limits are cleaned on a regular basis according to a Street and Trail Sweeping Plan.

The city does not sweep private parking areas. Contractors are responsible for removing construction debris resulting from their activities. Chemical spills or construction debris on streets should be reported to the city's Stormwater Coordinator.

Street Excavation

Property owners or contractors must obtain a street excavation permit and understand our excavation fees before performing work in any city street, alley, or easement.
