Uncompahgre River Corridor Master Plan
Overview
Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) has provided grant funding in partnership with the City of Montrose to prepare a master plan for ten miles of the Uncompahgre River.
With your participation, the project team will provide specific recommendations for acquiring land and funding enhancements to the riverway corridor. The plan will identify opportunities for trail dedications and other recreational opportunities that may be accommodated with other tools, such as annexation and subdivision developments, along the river corridor. The planning effort will prioritize segments for more intensive project development and will examine how to best implement a trail connection between downtown and existing City park property next to the river.
Public Participation
Your input is essential to help shape and support the plan. A
Community Vision Workshop was held on July 26 to provide information about the plan and gather public input via one-on-one conversations and
keypad polling of all attendees. Another public meeting will be held in October.
If you were unable to attend the workshop, please provide your input via an
online form.
