Recyclable Materials


Plastics with number one through seven markings shown below can be placed in the recycling cart.
  • Please be sure that containers are emptied and rinsed.
Do not include plastic bags and plastics that are not marked with a recycling symbol. These include some packaging containers for prepared foods, eating utensils, shopping bags, styrofoam packaging, lids and caps, and ice cube trays. 

Paper, Paperboard & Cardboard

Newspaper, junk mail, magazines, office paper, telephone books, boxes, paper towel and toilet paper rolls, egg cartons (clean). Paperboard containers with wax or plastic coatings (e.g. milk, juice and ice cream containers, and frozen food packages) are recyclable.
  • Remove plastic and plastic parts
  • Flatten boxes
Do not include shredded paper, hardbound books, photographs, construction paper, paper towels, materials contaminated with food, oil, etc.


Aluminum and tin / steel cans, aerosol spray cans, metal cap and lids, wire, and coat hangers
  • Empty all metal cans and containers.
